Bank Current Accounts Summary

This blog post will try to outline the different benefits available when choosing different current accounts with in the UK and we will aim to cover as many different banks as possible, with a particular focus on the biggest high street banks that you will probably already be aware of.

We will also provide a list of UK banks further down this post as well, so that you can contact them individually if you wish to.

The financial market in the UK has really been widened in recent years and it is now highly competitive with a great number of companies vying for your business, be it through current accounts, child accounts or all sorts of other related products that you might be after for yourself or a member of your family. The result of this is that there are better deals to be had for consumers who take the time to find their best options, whilst others may feel that there is simply too much choice at that it just brings confusion.

Those who prefer a simple choice will normally pick a well-known high street bank and stick with them for the long term, almost whatever the service that they then receive. Most people believe it is too complicated to change banks and probably not worth the pain. Those more pro-active can find great deals, whatever their circumstances, by simply comparing the accounts on offer and there are growing numbers of sites which may comparisons much easier to do.

It is possible to get a new bank current account from all sorts of different locations now across the UK and our experience has found that recently there are many smaller regional banks which can offer much better rates of return than the high street banks, so it certainly is worth looking wider than just the normal choices that most people go for. It is, for example, even possible to get a rate on your money that is equivalent to a short term bond, with you enjoying the advantage of having instant access as with all current accounts.
